The School Safety and Emergency Preparedness Division provides for the safety and security of all students and staff district wide. School Safety Branch is staffed and operational 24hrs a day, seven days a week. During regular school hours, the School Safety Staff works closely with school and support sites to provide for the safety and security of students and staff. School Safety Officers are available for emergency response. Other staff members patrol the communities we serve, observing for gang activity, truancy, and other non-permissible activity that impacts the district. The School Safety Branch works closely with local law-enforcement agencies, providing for an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual support. The School Safety Branch also monitors and provides around the clock response to the District’s extensive fire and intrusion alarm system.
